Описание: We discuss the treatment of abscesses less than four centimeters in size. Previously, the limit was three centimeters, but now data shows that abscesses up to four centimeters can be treated non-operatively if they are not accessible. For abscesses larger than four centimeters or those that are accessible, interventional radiology can perform a percutaneous drainage procedure to drain the abscess and provide source control, followed by antibiotics.
