Toby Gutteridge left his native South Africa to join the Royal Marines before becoming one of the youngest men to ever serve with UK Special Forces.
But what promised to be a brilliant career in the British military came to a shattering halt in 2009 when he was shot at close range while on operations in Afghanistan.
The injuries he suffered were catastrophic. Left paralysed from the neck down and unable to breathe without 24/7 assistance, doctors considered turning off his life-support machine.
But in a truly amazing tale of human resilience, Toby has battled back to rebuild his life and today acts as inspiration to all who meet him.
Please take time in your day to listen to his incredible story.
