Instructions:
(Chant Structure/ How to introduce the chant.)
• Step 1 (8 Bars) Drums & Melody Only
Children and Instructor actively listens to the melody without singing.
• Step 2 (8 Bars) Drums, Melody & Voice Narration
Children and Instructor tries to join and do the chant with gestures.
• Step 3 (8 Bars) Drums, Melody, Vocal Song & Extra Beats
Children and Instructor sings the chant with gestures.
End
Notes:
• Learn the 12 chants and incorporate them in your morning circle activities or as ice-breakers.
• This can be sung while sitting down on the carpet or as a music and movement activity.
