Dumbbell Front Raises are a shoulder isolation exercise that primarily targets the anterior deltoids. This movement is effective for building shoulder strength and definition while reinforcing controlled shoulder mechanics.
Muscles Worked:
Primary: Anterior deltoids
Secondary: Upper chest, core (stabilization)
How to Perform:
Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your arms resting in front of your thighs. With a slight bend in your elbows, raise the dumbbells forward until they reach shoulder height. Slowly lower the weights back to the starting position under control.
Form Tips:
Avoid swinging the weights or using momentum.
Keep your core engaged and posture upright.
Raise the dumbbells only to shoulder height to maintain shoulder safety.
