'St Hilda & Hartlepool' Episode 1 'The Rise & Fall of the Monasteries'

Описание: Welcome to our brand new historical adventure series 'The Rise & Fall of the Monasteries'!

Join Dan Jones on his brand new adventure for 2023 as he explores the architectural legacy left by the medieval monastery. Over nine episode coming throughout the year Dan will uncover the story of England as he charts the rise and fall of the monasteries. Starting in the 7th century and concluding in the 16th century, this is a story with epic heroes and the ultimate villain. The rest of the series will be shared exclusively with our Gold and Platinum Patrons. A new episode will be published every month from March-September 2022.

In this first episode of the series join Dan as he:

Takes you to York and shares with you his inquire connection to the story
Visits Hartlepool and uncovers the story of St. Hilda
Calls in at St. Hildas Church in Hartlepool and finds out more about the Synod of Whitby
Visits Easby Abbey in North Yorkshire and discovers the layout of a medieval monastery
