Dr Feelgood, with their eccentric lead guitarist Wilko Johnson, was the standout band to emerge from the London Pub Rock scene of the 1970s and 1980s. It seemed rock and roll would never recover. Wilko, vocalist Lee Brilleaux, bassist John Sparks, and drummer John Martin (The Big Figure) created a raw rhythm and blues sound never before heard in London pubs.
