_______________
Oleg Arkadyevich Prikhodko was born on November 21, 1958, in the city of Saki, Republic of Crimea. He worked as a driver for some time until he received training as a welder, which he then pursued, manufacturing metal gates and grates. He also mastered woodworking and made gazebos and swings.
Oleg Arkadyevich is a hard-working and talented man. On March 15, 1980, he married Lyubov Ivanovna Vinichenko.
On November 7, 1980, their daughter Natalya was born.
On October 10, 2019, Oleg Prikhodko was arrested. The Ukrainian activist is charged under the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: Article 30, Part 1 and Part 1 of Article 205 (“Preparation for the commission of a terrorist act”), Part 1 of Article 222 (“Acquisition and storage of explosives”) and Part 1 of Article 223.1 (“Manufacture of explosives”).
“My father has always been an honest, kind, and decent person. Before his arrest, everyone said so and turned to him for help. And then he became a terrorist to everyone,” says Natalya Prykhodko about her father.
In February 2019, Krym.Realii recorded an interview with Crimean resident Oleg Prykhodko just a few days after Russian security forces searched his home on suspicion of vandalism. Ukrainian flags, symbols of the All-Ukrainian Union (VO) “Svoboda,” red and black flags, and a portrait of Stepan Bandera were seized from his home in the village of Orikhove, Saksky district. Prykhodko called having Ukrainian flags at home “his right and personal business” and clarified that he does not post anything on social media, does not attend rallies, and “does not get involved in anything.” In October 2019, after another search, Prykhodko was imprisoned for alleged terrorism. As a result, a Russian court sentenced the Crimean pensioner to 9.5 years in prison. Oleg Prykhodko is currently in a Russian prison.
