Alleged Police Brutality: Family Of Nigerian Man Killed In Dublin Seeks Justice

Описание: On December the 30th 2020, a Nigerian, George Nkencho was killed by white police officers of the Garda Armed Support Unit in Ireland. after attempts to detain him failed.

He was said to have allegedly assaulted a shop staff member and threatened others with a knife. There were also reports that the 27-year-old was in midst of a mental health crisis. He was shot at the doorstep outside his family home. His death led to a wave of protests across Ireland and there is an ongoing independent investigation into whether or not excessive force was used.

This is the sixth shooting by the Irish Police in 22 years.
