In this video, I’ll show you a simple way to fix a running toilet that keeps leaking water nonstop—and costing you money.
As you can see, the water was running all day. The most common cause of this problem is a worn or warped flapper inside the toilet tank.
Here’s how I fix it:
Remove the toilet tank lid.
Take out the flapper and inspect it—this flapper is the reason the water keeps leaking.
Find a small ceramic or glass cup.
Use a hair dryer to gently heat the flapper until it becomes flexible.
Place the flapper on top of the cup, gently press it down, and run cold water over it to help reshape the flapper back to an even, flat shape.
Reinstall the flapper back into the toilet tank.
That’s it! Once it’s back in place, the toilet seals properly again—no more running water, no more wasted money.
