Big gold rui fish and other fish have some important characteristics. Rui fish usually mature in two to three years and breed in the river during the rainy season. There are 260 species of freshwater fish in Bangladesh, including rui, katla, hilsa, pangas and many other popular fish.

Things to look out for when buying fish:
Whether the fish is fresh, you can tell by looking at the color of the fins, eyes, skin and smell.
If the fish is fresh, the fins will be slightly raised, the eyes will be bright and the skin will be shiny.
মাছ কেনার সময় যে বিষয়গুলি লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে:
মাছটি তাজা কিনা, পাখনার রঙ, চোখ, ত্বক এবং গন্ধ দেখে বোঝা যাবে।
মাছটি যদি তাজা হয়, তাহলে পাখনাগুলো সামান্য উঁচু থাকবে, চোখ উজ্জ্বল হবে এবং ত্বক চকচকে হবে।
যদি এটি পুকুর বা নদীর মাছ হয়, তাহলে এর গন্ধ শ্যাওলা জাতীয় হতে পারে।
