Описание: The Dinner Table Syndrome (DTS) is a common Deaf experience, the feeling of exclusion that occurs when surrounded by the rapid conversations of hearing family or friends, whether they sign or not. The film follows Isabella, a Deaf teen, as she navigates that feeling of isolation over two holidays. Her hearing sister, Sofia, brings her to a holiday gathering with friends who do not know Sign Language. Told visually rather than being dialogue-heavy, the film invites the audience into Isabella's perspective, what it’s like to be both present and unseen. Ultimately, the film is about connection: how learning someone’s language, even in small ways, can transform moments of isolation into moments of belonging. Being seen isn’t about just speaking or hearing, it’s about understanding and making space for someone’s world.
