Join us on an unforgettable journey to one of Norway’s most breathtaking viewpoints – the Loen Skylift in Olden! 🇳🇴
As part of our cruise aboard the magnificent P&O Iona, we disembarked in the scenic village of Olden and took a comfortable coach transfer to the base station of the Loen Skylift. From there, we boarded one of the world’s steepest aerial tramways for a truly spectacular ride!
Loen Skylift Quick Facts:
🚠 Vertical ascent: 1,011 meters (3,316 ft) from fjord to mountaintop
📏 Cable length: approx. 1,500 meters
🌄 Ride time: Around 5 minutes
🌍 Destination: Mount Hoven – offering panoramic views of Nordfjord, glaciers, and surrounding mountains
At the top, we soaked in the stunning vistas, explored the viewing platforms, and enjoyed a warm drink at the mountaintop restaurant.
