Strength of field: 2662 Car #14
This one was a bit of a mess but I survived. Qualified like crap like always, started 15th behind Nick Neben (Kneebon5 so you can watch his view of this race too) and we barely made it down the frontstretch and there was a pile-up. Luckily my horrible qualifying helped me to completely miss it. Restarted and a few laps later a couple cars go together and I clipped one of them but it didn't seem to hurt the car. Get back going again and we had a decent green flag run but I started falling off and got passed. Caution eventually came back out and we ran a few more laps until the 13 and I were wanting the same real estate and got together which sent the 13 spinning. Restarted again and a few laps later, the 12 who must have been irritated from getting accidentally spun (see Neben's video) over-drove the corner entry and spun me while taking himself out. Maybe he saw yellow and thought it was me that spun him? Dunno. Anyway got back going until another caution with 3 laps to go. Restarted again and picked up one more spot from someone making a mistake and finished 7th. I feel like that was way better than I deserved, the car never felt like it was in the track and the bumps were just killer but I also think I might have been able to hold onto a top 5 had the 12 not spun me. Regardless, I survived and that's about all I can ask recently.
