People argue over the how the Ozzy or Ozzy/Dio era is the only important era(s) in Sabbath and that they are perfect and untouchable and that other Sabbath singers were failures... welp. Here's the worst Black Sabbath show ever (not counting some of the Ozzy Reunion shows, where its much more understanding of a failure to old age). Ozzy the previous day went missing, Tony Iommi and the rest of Sabbath looked for him and thought he was dead. Turns out he was drugged up on Coke and Booze and winded up at the wrong hotel, also forgetting the show that they had to play that night. To make things worse, Ozzy got very sick.
Here are some excerpts of Nashville 1978 (from the Krellwars Remaster).
Ozzy's confidence bounces up and down throughout the show, saying that they are going to "attempt" to play Never Say Die, a very harsh vocally demanding song Ozzy would never sing live again. I would dare put you through Snowblind.
Ozzy also attempts to sing Rock and Roll Doctor, at a very strange octave, which i think actually sounds better then his attempts at singing at a high raspy voice.
Funnily enough, during the show which Ozzys voice is completely shot he makes very bold statements, including how he states that Black Sabbath proudly states "Disco Sucks!", however about a half decade later he would pay tribute and cover disco legends the Bee gees in a cover of Stayin Alive (as cringeful as it is, proudly exclaiming, "All aboard the disco trains!"):
