Took a ride up the North Shore in Minnesota to shoot some large-format photography with my 4x5 camera. I only brought my Linhof Master Technika to shoot with this time, my favorite 4x5 camera, and my favorite 4x5 black and white film Kodak Tri-X 320.

Minnesota's north shore has plenty to see and photograph year-round. In February my goal was to shoot frozen water and waterfalls with my 4x5 camera. I only brought black and white film with me on this trip. I usually only shoot black and white 4x5 film with this camera. The film was developed in my Jobo using Hc110 at 1:64 21 degrees celsius.

My favorite film developer for the black and white film is currently HC110. I also use Xtol, D76, and Pyrocat at times with different black and white films. But for this trip, I stuck to my main film developer.

Shooting with a 4x5 camera in subzero temperatures definitely has its challenges. Come along behind the scenes with me!
