This video shows how to replace worn valve guides. So far every cylinder head I've disassembled had worn out exhaust valve guides (regardless of engine mileage). On all those engines, I've never seen a worn out intake valve guide. So if you're replacing a head gasket, you probably want to replace the exhaust valve guides too. So far I've found a 100% exhaust valve guide failure rate.
SPECIAL NOTE: Make sure you remove the old valve seal before using this process to replace the valve guides.
