I realized I haven't documented my adventures in Finland properly since 2021 - so here a throwback to my first motocamping adventure back then! This was also the last adventure with my trusty 2007 BMW R 1200GS Adventure, which I rode for 7 years!
This two day ride started out with the idea of crossing off two of my bucket-list items; motocamping and exploring the great defence line in Finland, called Salpalinja. I had learned that there was supposed to be lots of defence structures still existing of the line, in our forests - ready and available to be explored! Therefore I selected that as my destination. This also lead me to find out how great the southeast corner of Finland is for adventurous motorcycling!
Finally, I found the perfect place where to pitch my tent and set up my first ever motocamp!
