ASSAM HISTORY - ON THE TRAIL OF AHOM KINGDOM | DOCUMENTARY FILM

Описание: On March 2017, an extensive journey spanning over several weeks in Assam was undertaken to rebuild from the widely dispersed and few surviving physical remnants, the story of a kingdom that flourished for 600 years from 1228 A.D to 1826 A.D. With a long succession of kings, this is the fascinating tale of a kingdom that has witnessed both the highs and lows of time.

A Kingdom founded on the beautiful Brahmaputra valley with its unique geographic terrain and weather. This is the story of Ahom Kingdom.

The story has been presented in "chronological sequence" so that the video can be viewed chapter wise. Hence, one can watch the whole video in multiple sittings chapter wise.

05:50 - The Search for a Capital 1228-1252 A.D
08:50 - The King Establishes his First Capital - Charaideo 1253 A.D

42:21 - The King Takes a Pledge to restore lost glory 1665 A.D (Lead up to Historic battle of Saraighat 1671 A.D)


A film made for purely nonprofit and educational awareness, following objectives are expected to be met:
1. Historical awareness as documentary films, visual medium has more reach than books
2. Sense of preservation of these historical legacies
3. Global awareness of the rich history and promoting "heritage tourism"
