Here's a commercial for ampm Mini Markets, then a subsidiary of ARCO.
Just like its presence in the West Coast, ampm also had a presence in the East Coast from 1980 to 1985 when ARCO spun off those assets, a majority of which went to Dutch trader John Deuss, who rebranded the East Coast stations and ampm stores to Atlantic and A-Plus respectively (Atlantic and A-Plus were both acquired by Sunoco in 1988). ampm, now of course owned by BP, recently returned to the East with two locations in the New York City region.
