That was certainly worth the trip. Took off for a much needed quick getaway under the stars and being a long time between casts for a trout, figured why the hell not.
While the rivers are running extremely low due to lack of rainfall, I hit up a new section of a river I haven't fished before. Was great to be able to reach places that in a normal year would be inaccessible from the river height, but not at the moment.
Started with a spinner for a few small fish, then fished some deeper pools and runs with the DUO International Spearhead Ryuki 50F which managed to attract the larger fish from the river.
Great successful trip once again....now to get my trout on for the rest of the season.
