In the closed beta test, her special skill was the Triple Mushrooms; however, this was changed to the Bubble for the official release. A High-End variant of herself in a cherub-themed outfit, Baby Peach (Cherub), was introduced in the Valentine's Tour, and later was added into regular tour pipes in the Battle Tour. Her special skill is the Heart, and her corresponding spotlight karts and gliders include the Apple Kart and Goo-Goo Pink, and the Sweetheart Glider and Wonderful Wings, respectively.

Baby Peach is one of the few characters in the game not to receive any new favorite tracks beyond her debut, with her only default favorite track being 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon. She shares this distinction with Baby Rosalina, Shy Guy, Dry Bones, Morton and Wendy.

Mario Kart Tour is a mobile game in the Mario Kart series. Unlike Super Mario Run, it is free-to-play from the App Store and Google Play. The game reuses many assets from Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8, with a style adapted for the mobile format. Gameplay mechanics such as gliding, underwater driving, and character-specific special items return from past entries. In addition, the game introduces some features new to the Mario Kart series, such as reverse courses, trick courses, a combo system that grants points based on actions, and the Frenzy mechanic, which allows racers with three item slots to deploy a large amount of any item during a race, including Spiny Shells and Bullet Bills, at random should said item be in all three slots.
