【国立近代美術館】下村観山【予習】

A master of Japanese painting active from the late Meiji to the early Showa period, Shimomura Kanzan (1873–1930).
This preparatory video concisely introduces his life—where he beautifully fused tradition and innovation during a time of great upheaval—and his breathtakingly beautiful masterpieces.
Starting in March 2026, the “Shimomura Kanzan” exhibition will be held at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
