In this video we use the black PdI2 suspension in the water we prepared in a previous video and add more Iodide. Much like with for example Bismuth it dissolves in excess Iodide forming the orange-brown [PdI4](2-). As with almost all Pd(II) compounds the Iodopalladate(II) is a square-plane again.
At the end I place my hand behind the glass so you can see that it actually turned transparent as the cam doesn't pick it up that well.
