The rate of school dropouts remain persistent in Uganda despite efforts by the line ministry of Education and Sports to scale it down.
Government efforts through the National Curriculum Development Center (NCDC) to have a competent based curriculum is one of the many initiatives being applied to address the persistent school dropout rates over the years.
As Faridah Nanfuka reports Civil Society Organizations working with Ministry of Education and Sports believe that if the new competent based curriculum is well implemented school dropout rates will come down.
