DDC completed major elevator work at the Flushing branch of the Queens Public Library. This branch is one of the city’s busiest, with 3,000 daily visitors. DDC ensured continuous public access to the library during the renovation period by scheduling overnight construction work.
Project work included the installation of a new glass-enclosed elevator and the complete refurbishment of the existing elevator. The new elevator improves ADA accessibility, will streamline the circulation in the building and result in shorter wait times and reduced crowding.
