Is Character Migrations A Good or Bad Move

Firing from the hip here on this one guys, but wanted to put out something to address the latest announcement from Funcom concerning the upcoming Character Migrations.

The TL,DR here is that there are too many servers running this game for the player count we currently have. This causes some servers to be very active while others are ghost towns. A while back they created a way for us players to move to a new server if we wanted to, but now the day has come where some of the servers are going to be turned off completely and some players may need to find a new home.

While I understand and to a point agree that this has to happen for the good of the game, I have some concerns that I want to put out there, see if others have them as well or concerns I haven't thought of.

The main message I want to get out is, don't worry about what is coming down the road, let's see what it actually looks like when it happens and deal with it then. Worrying is a waste of time and effort, not to say making a plan isn't a good idea, but just worrying over every possible outcome won't matter until we know exactly what is happening.
