In a world in which violent conflicts are back on the front pages of the news, there is a need to understand the causes of contemporary conflicts, the impact of broad trends like geopolitical competition and globalization, and the roles of international organizations and local actors in conflict resolution. In the context of persistent violence from Ukraine to Gaza, from Sudan to Myanmar, the panel will discuss the strategies for building sustainable peace, and how to navigate the challenges of managing conflict in our times.
