One of the longest running gags in the show is that blitz is obsessed with horses. So why is he?

Well this involves the movie animated 2002 classic spirit Stallion of the Cimarron. Basically this movie is about a brave and wild stallion who travels across the frontiers of the Old West. He befriends a young human and finds true love with a mare.

Viv was watching this movie and mentioned to a friend that spirit reminds her of blitz, since blitz is also trying to be free and break out of the system.

Viv’s friend drew funny art about this, and it ended up being a core personality trait of his. Spirit became blitz’s favourite movie, and blitz is a stereotypical “horse girl” who is obsessed with horses.

The best part is that blitz’s voice actor, brandon rogers doesn’t even like horses in the first place.
