How to Find Oil and Fluid Leaks with UV Dye + Blue Light | 1995 Ford F150

Описание: In this video, I show you how to find leaks using a UV detection dye. Oftentimes, vehicles will have multiple leaks and it can be hard to locate a specific leak. Using this dye you can separate a rear main seal leak from a transmission leak. Or, separate a power steering leak from a master brake cylinder leak.

In this case, my 1995 Ford F-150 with the 5.0 engine and 4R70W/AODE transmission has several leaks. The power steering pump has a leak, the rear main seal has a leak, there is a leak coming from the transmission bell housing. It can be difficult distinguishing one leak from another after Its be leaking under the truck for a while. This is where these UV dyes come in handy. Just pour the dye down the transmission dip stick tube If you want to separate a trans leak from another leak. Pour the dye down the oil filler spout/cap in the valve cover If you want to find an engine oil leak. Pour the dye In the power steering reservoir to find a leak in the power steering. These dyes can also be used to find a leak in the master brake cylinder, brake hoses, and calipers.
