American Truck Simulator - ATS 1.45 Open Beta Release

Tonight, I'm going to discuss some of the changes SCS are introducing into version 1.45 but this won't be a comprehensive list of changes but instead I'm going to talk about the four things that interest me the most - new rain sensors, a new trailer, optional road blockers to be hidden, and optional mods in the multiplayer Convoy mode. 10-4!

Optional mods for Convoy mode is most interesting for me because something that stops me from using Convoy so much is the need to synchronize my mods. I spend a bit of time (!) in the single player mode and have my mods set up just how I like it, so I don't always want to change the mods I use for a few hours of Convoy. This will be optional in 1.45, depending on the Convoy server settings: can't wait!

I'm also taking my million mile Volvo VNL out for a spin. I've equipped the VNL with a 450hp Cummins ISX15 and an Eaton Endurant automated transmission, which is an unusual specification for a Volvo: about 70% of Volvo VNL drivers specify a Volvo engine, and here almost nine in ten buyers specify a Volvo transmission. I am happy to be the odd one out!

The ISX14-450 performs just fine but it's a bit thirsty hauling 52000lbs of triple Wal-Mart trailer.
