This highly decorated Victorian locket from the 1870s is stunningly engraved with scrolls and infilled with bright cobalt blue enamel on both sides with the front studded with five half pearls in pinched collets. The interior clips open like a fob watch to reveal spaces for two photos and further scroll engraving on the interior bezel of one locket. Satisfying solid 18ct yellow gold with that rich contrast of bright blue reminiscent of an illuminated manuscript.
