Beachfront Running Event | South Coast Runners Unite With 5k Your Way

Описание: Welcome to Lee-on-the-Solent Parkrun no.501

Greeted by some clouds and a westerly wind at the start, the weather was just right for Parkrun, and 604 of you agreed by showing up. Today’s event was a 5K Your Way takeover, which meant there was cake at the finish once again—a reward that everyone can appreciate after a run.

I participated in today's event as part of a parkrun sandwich, aiming to cover 15K altogether. With 5K before the event and another 5K afterward, I was pleased to achieve my fastest time of the year at 24:17, almost a minute faster than last week.

I hope some of my fellow runners also secured personal bests or achieved their fastest times. There are still plenty of opportunities to improve, and I’m looking forward to touring other local parkruns soon.
