Описание: This film, by Graeme Lycett, was commissioned as part of 'Picturing 100 Years', an exciting new collaborative project by Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum and 33 Signal Squadron, based at Alamein Barracks, Huyton. It centres around a fascinating and insightful interview with PSAO Captain Bob Dobson MBE.

'Picturing 100 Years' commemorates and celebrates the centenary of the Royal Corps of Signals, whilst also addressing real and current social issues in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund: Forces Communities Together Programme. We were able to successfully reach out to an audience who we could not otherwise engage with, whether due to social distancing restrictions or those self-isolating or vulnerable.

There were two threads to the project:
• 100 'Culture and Storytelling Boxes' were distributed, which contained a variety of art materials and practical resources to enable participants to express themselves creatively, whether that was painting or drawing a picture, or writing a poem to share their experiences. The boxes targeted the Armed Forces community, families and the Royal Signals Association (RSA). Participants were additionally signposted to online creative sessions devised by the team behind Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum.
• The artwork created was then mounted in an exhibition at Kirkby Gallery, which was photographed and filmed to enable audiences to experience the displays safely from home. Taking centre stage were a number of original communications artefacts and historical objects from the Army Reserve Collection held by 33 Signal Squadron, to provide a meaningful and historical backdrop to the project.
