We look at the basics in becoming a texture artist in this series that will cover most aspects of the tools and techniques in your road to becoming a texture artist within Visual effects. Channels in texturing are the first where we look at the most common texture channels we use, Color, Bump, Specular Roughness, Metalness and Normals to name a few. We look at both Mari and Substance designer using the same 3d model a simple bottle I found on my living room shelf.
