3 teenage boys charged for multiple carjack attempts, high-speed chase

Описание: Seattle police released a video from Dec. 19, 2023, where officers arrested three teenagers who attempted to carjack three separate victims.

Police said the pursuit began in the Alki neighborhood of south Seattle shortly before 9 p.m. when dispatch received several calls reporting three attempted carjackings and a robbery. The suspects were described as "three juvenile males in a gray SUV."

Detectives are investigating a Mercer Island man's weeks-long disappearance and homicide.

Neighbors are in disbelief at the tragic loss of Curtis Engeland, whose body was found more than 100 miles away in the small city of Cosmopolis in Grays Harbor County, confirmed by the King County Medical Examiner on Monday.

Neighbor Laurie Goekenhad been holding out hope since Engeland was reported missing on Feb. 23 that he would come home. She adds the 74-year-old's sudden disappearance was odd for the active hiker, gardener, and cat lover, especially in their quiet neighborhood off 62nd Avenue SE.
