How to Disable and Remove Feedback Hub in Windows 11
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, the Feedback Hub is a built-in application in Windows 11 that allows users to provide feedback to Microsoft about their experience with the operating system. It is designed to help Microsoft improve Windows based on user input. However, if you want to disable or remove the Feedback Hub, here are some steps you can follow:
Disable Feedback Hub (Windows 11):
1. *Open Settings:*
Press `Win + I` to open the Settings.
2. *Privacy & Security:*
Go to "Privacy & security."
3. *Feedback & Diagnostics:*
Select "Feedback & diagnostics."
4. *Choose Feedback Settings:*
Under "Feedback frequency," choose the option that suits your preference. You can select "Never" to minimize feedback prompts.
Remove Feedback Hub (Windows 11):
1. *Using PowerShell:*
Open PowerShell with administrative privileges.
Run the following command to uninstall the Feedback Hub:
```powershell
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub | Remove-AppxPackage
```
2. *Using Registry Editor (Caution: Advanced Users Only):*
Open the Registry Editor by pressing `Win + R`, typing `regedit`, and hitting Enter.
Navigate to `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Appx\BlockedApps`.
Create a new String Value named `Microsoft.WindowsFeedbackHub` and leave its value data empty.
*Note:* Modifying the registry is a sensitive operation, and any mistakes can cause serious issues with your system. Ensure you have a backup before making changes.
Additional Notes:
Keep in mind that removing or disabling system components may have unintended consequences, and it's generally advisable to leave them in place.
Microsoft may introduce changes or updates that affect the steps mentioned. Verify the steps based on the latest information.
As always, exercise caution when making changes to your system, and consider creating a backup before proceeding, especially when dealing with registry edits. If you're uncertain, it's a good idea to seek guidance from Microsoft support or other reliable sources.
