From the Flight Deck – East Texas Regional Airport, TX (GGG)

Описание: East Texas Regional (GGG) is a medium-sized, multi-use airport south of Longview, Texas. It has associated Class Delta airspace that underlies its Terminal Radar Service Area. Very few Terminal Radar Service Areas remain across the National Airspace System so pilots may not be familiar with the requirements for operating in them. Being aware of and fully understanding this type of airspace is critically important before leaving for East Texas Regional Airport.

1:37 - The airport configuration consists of two intersecting runways 13-31 and 18-36. Parallel taxiways are located alongside both runways. LAHSO procedures are utilized on Runway 13-31.

2:34 - While there are no official hot spots on the airport, several areas warrant special attention. For pilots who have not visited the airport in a while and are watching this video as a refresher, please note Runway 4-22 is now taxiway November.

3:00 - Taxiway Golf ends just north of taxiway November. There is a taxiway centerline that extends all the way to where taxiway Alpha begins. However, the entire expanse west of this line and in between these two points is non-movement area.

3:21 - While taxiing for departure on Runway 13, pilots will encounter a set of runway hold-short markings located a considerable distance from the runway end.

4:02 - Wrong direction intersection departures have occurred primarily on Runway 13-31.
