Another spacious soundscape centering the birds, this time in a forest in Briones Regional Park. This is the only track on the project that doesn’t feature any other artists. It is just me playing a couple of guitar parts and a very spacious ambient synth. Mellow, lazy afternoon vibes.

BLUEPRINT FOR THE FUTURE:
These are instrumental songs. Each one can stand on its own. But this project was designed to be a musical journey that takes the listener through different spaces, emotions, and energies.

Each song began with a soundscape. I spent the first couple weeks of this project going out into different places in nature and recording the sounds of that place. From forest to lake to creek to ocean, I listened, recorded, and envisioned the music that would complement those sounds. I then brought those soundscapes into the studio, described my vision for the song to each contributing musician, and then we just played the music that made sense. All of this music was improvised. We did no more than 3 takes for each song. We moved fast, and we moved free.
