WRITTEN RECIPE⬇️⬇️⬇️Caramel Puff Corn Episode 157Check Out My Amazon Store:
We call this “Crack Corn” because once you have tasted it…you gotta have more! LOL
2 sticks REAL BUTTER (1/2 lb)
1/2 cup Karo Syrup
1 cup packed Brown Sugar
Mix above in 2 quart pan and heat over medium heat. Once it comes to a FULL BOIL (see video!) set a timer on your phone for TWO MINUTES!! Do not walk away! Stir!
As soon as timer goes off remove it from the heat …
IMMEDIATELY ADD:
1 teaspoon baking SODA (be sure it’s FRESH!) STIR! It will foam up!!
Then add:
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
And
Optional add 1 teaspoon Maple Extract
BE CAREFUL AS THIS WILL SPATTER when you add the liquids!! Then pour over 16 ounces of Puffcorn. DO NOT USE CHESTER’s Butter Puffcorn. It tastes like chemicals …. I use Golden Flake or Old Dutch etc.
Stir well to coat the puffcorn.
Bake 1 hour in 250 degree oven!
STIR WELL EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES!!!
Listen to my video so you know when it is done!
Weather can change the baking time if it’s humid it will take longer etc
STORE IN AIR TIGHT CONTAINERS OR ZIPLOCK BAGGIES! Humidity will ruin it.
