Disney's first Roller Coaster:
The Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland Anaheim opened in 1959 and were the park’s first roller coaster.
At the same time, they are considered the world’s first coaster to use tubular steel track, marking an important technological milestone in modern roller coaster engineering.
The ride travels through an artificial Matterhorn mountain and uses a bobsled-style system with individual vehicles.
To this day, the Matterhorn remains one of the resort’s most iconic and historically significant attractions.
