It’s match day.
England play Russia in Marseilles.
Off the pitch its been all fun and games. French Ultras from all over the country have been in town over the weekend targeting the England fans. Russian hooligans have planned a number of very organised attacked on unsuspecting groups in the run up to the game.
In the sunshine of Marseille, the atmosphere is jovial .. but also at ties tense.
The Beesotted crew recall their match day. From the relaxed atmosphere in the morning and early afternoon … to a slightly more moody atmosphere in the evening after Russian balaclava-clad militia caused a rumpus in the square.
Then onto the Stade Velodrome where England fans got behind their team 100% creating an excellent atmosphere inside the stadium.
