Johnny lived a very regimented life, which allowed him to focus and organize the Ramones (whose members have long been admired as a family of outcasts and misfits) during a career that spanned 22 years.

Johnny was also a very big movie fan, especially horror films and he moved out of New York for Hollywood where he lived until his death in 2004.

A recipient of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Johnny is immortalized here at Hollywood Forever cemetery, steps away from his former band mate Dee Dee Ramone and many other friends and Hollywood stars.

On a personal note, I was lucky to see the Ramones live 3 times. I even caught a pic from Johnny at the Riviera Chicago show in 1996. It is one of my most prized possessions. I pay my respects as often as I can - even attending the Johnny Ramone tribute nights which are always packed with punks. Gabba Gabba Hey Johnny!
