This is a Lego Technic tutorial on my front axle design for a buggy. The design is very compact and sturdy. This design is very similar to the one seen in my off road 4x4 buggy video. This was based off of that model but improved slightly. The goal with this was to keep it similar to my original design, so that if you were replicating the buggy, it would look very similar and fit well. I built this model to have many spots where you as the builder can change certain elements to fit your build with out losing the structural integrity of the suspension.
This MOC features front wheel drive capabilities with rack and pinion steering. It has double wishbone independent suspension. The gear ratio from the motor to the wheel hub is 1:1. The motor in this tutorial feature a Large motor, but a medium motor work the same as well. An XL Motor can also be used to drive the system, but it does mean you will have to reroute the steering shaft due to the size of the motor.
