Adorable Rex is a pugapoo, a cross between a pug and a poodle. He is quite unique in character and bundles of fun. Then a ride on a North Yorkshire Moors steam train in Pickering to Goathland followed by a walk up to a beautiful waterfall, Mallyan Spout. Rex has a splashing and sploshing time in the water. What a treat. Before the train ride home there is one last treat, I wonder what it could be.
ADORABLE is the word for this story as Rex is the sweetest pugapoo. You feel his excitement and joy that he has on this real life and wonderful adventure. and knowing that his adventures are real makes the story even more heartwarming. What is lovely is that at the start of the story there is a message, from Rex, that he hopes his adventures inspire the readers to have their own adventures or even visit the places that Rex has. Which is a fabulous way to encourage children to explore the outdoors. 'Adorable' is also fitting to describe the beautiful illustrations, they perfectly blend with the writing.
