Savoiardi Biscuits | Easy Homemade Ladyfingers the Italian Way
Light, airy, and just sweet enough — these classic biscuits are perfect for tiramisu or a simple afternoon snack. No preservatives, just real flavor made at home.
Ingredients (makes about 20):
• 3 large eggs
• 50g sugar
• 65g flour
• 1 spoon lemon juice
Instructions:
Separate egg yolks and whites into two bowls.
Refrigerate the whites. Add 35g of sugar to yolks and whisk until fluffy. Add flour and whisk to combine.
Take the chilled egg whites, add the remaining 15g sugar and lemon juice, and whisk until firm peaks.
Using a spatula, gently fold the whites into the yolk mixture, spoon by spoon, until fully incorporated.
Transfer the batter into a piping bag. On baking paper, pipe out biscuit shapes and sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake at 160°C for 10–15 minutes until golden.
Let them cool completely before serving or storing.
