Welcome to the Florence STG

Описание: We are back on campus, at Palazzo Buontalenti, in the heart of Florence, for the grand opening of the new academic year at the STG!

On 8 September 2023, the EUI School of Transnational Governance was delighted to host the inauguration of the Academic Year 2023-2024, featuring a special address by the Mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella.

The event began with a warm welcome by Professor Renaud Dehousse, President of the European University Institute, and Professor Alexander Stubb, Director of the School of Transnational Governance, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.

Mayor Nardella shared his insights and vision of governance with the STG community, which included both new and returning students of the School's Master in Transnational Governance, as well as the new cohorts of Policy Leader Fellows, Young African Leader Fellows, senior and visiting fellows, faculty, and staff.

Following Mayor Nardella's speech, Professor Emma Less, Director of the Master's program, moderated a Q&A session where attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the Mayor. The event concluded with closing remarks by Marco del Panta, Secretary General of the European University Institute.
