Every year, as a church family and body, we hold our annual culture conference. We set aside one day each year at City Wide to teach about our church's culture. If this is your first experience, we pray that today you gain a little more depth in God, in your walk, and that you develop a passion for what God is doing in His house. This is a watershed moment for us. A spiritual milestone where we may look back and remember what the Lord was speaking to us as a congregation at the time.

Key Scripture- "Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed.“Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? 3 Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him. Mark 6:1-4 ESV

3 Main Points
1) Familiarity has a progression.
2) The spirit of familiarity works til there is a complete lack of honor.
3) Familiarity hinders God’s desire to move among us.

The Progression of Familiarity
1) We question the source of God's Work in the House.
2) We Question the wisdom of leadership.
3) We Question the Work of the House.
4) We reduce the house & it's leaders down to the length of time we've known them.
5) Familiarity hinders God's desire to move among us!
