This film was created by student Pipper Morgan as part of the 'Circus for Camera' module led by Mark Morreau, an internationally acclaimed, prize-winning filmmaker.
Our undergraduate degree students were challenged to reimagine circus specifically for the screen. Rather than documenting live performance, students used the camera as a creative partner, exploring how framing, camera movement, sound and location can reveal perspectives a live audience would never see. Through this process, they questioned how circus shifts and transforms when it is designed for the camera rather than the stage.
This work forms part of our Foundation Degree, where students develop creative, technical and collaborative skills to prepare them for working in contemporary circus industry.
