Welcome back! If you made it through PART 1, PART 2 and PART 3 of making this red fox, we're now ready to complete the face. The supplies are listed in the description of PART 1 and PART 2.
For the whiskers I used KANEKALON doll hair (from DollyHair.com) in the color Kool Black. I like this for whiskers in any animal that will have whiskers no longer than half an inch or a centimeter long. If they get too long they get droopy with weight. I have tried other types of doll hair or toy pony hair and they are more droopy and do not work even with very short whiskers.
The difference in the overall color of the fox in the video versus in the final photos is due to the light source I used in the video in combination with my cell phone using its automatic lighting adjustments to record the video. All the colors seem a bit washed out to me in the video. The final photos (at the end of this video, and available to view on my Facebook page) are more representative of the real colors since they are taken on a DSLR camera with no flash, and with natural lighting in the room.
