A police team of 150 personnel raided Isha Foundation Ashram, Coimbatore. This was after Madras HC sought a report on all criminal cases against Sadhguru's institution. HC ordered Tamil Nadu govt to submit details of all criminal cases against Isha Foundation while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by S Kamaraj, a retired professor. He alleged two of his daughters were brainwashed to live at the ashram and were not allowed to remain in contact with their family. Isha Foundation has denied the allegation saying it doesn't ask people to attain monkhood. Madras HC had observed why Sadhguru's daughter was married and well-settled while he was encouraging other women to renounce wordly life.
